Road to Hana: In Ke'anae Village. This 1859 church was the only thing in the village to survive the Tsunami of 1946 that wiped out the whole peninsula. The village has been rebuilt since. The church has 3' deep lava-stone walls, so I guess that's why it remained standing. |
