Teaching and Learning on the WWW: This site is run by Alan Levine at Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction at the Maricopa Community Colleges. It is fully searchable by key word, so you can look for courses in specific disciplines, and/or using specific technologies (i.e. streaming media). There are nearly 800 examples of how the web is being used as a medium for learning at this site.

Virtual Resource Site for Teaching with Technology: (University of Maryland): The focus of the site is a set of 40 examples of assignments or exercises used in on-line courses at various institutions. The examples are organized by the type of technology used, as well as by the type of learning the professors were trying to encourage. There are some great ideas here - have a look!

Marketing 2370: Instructor Gemmy Allen (Dallas Community College). Be sure to notice the use of streaming video in this course (found in lesson 6 and 10).

Public Health: Instructor Bernard J. Turnock (University of Illinois, Chicago). This is a great example of an on-line course that provides structured activities for on-line communications and collaborations as well as alternatives for the on-line lecture. Compared to the on-ground version of this course, students are engaged in a wider variety of learning activities, greater participation, and more active learning. Note that there are NO lectures in this course - how is this possible?

Comm 333 (Communicating Through The Internet): Instructor Ray Schroeder (UIS). This course uses streamed PowerPoint presentations with the addition of the instructor's voice.

Course Lecture Samples: Harvard Extension School. More examples of the combination of Real Video and PowerPoint presentation. A nice touch of the Harvard on-line lecture is that the PowerPoint slides are synchronized with the "life" presentation. It also has a table of content underneath the video picture that gives you an idea of the remaining topics.

Course Resource site Example: An on-line learning material supplement for students in a f2f (face to face) class.

Virtual Guest Lecturer: Example of archiving a guest lecture series if you have guests that do not stay beyond their presentation.
