For this course I'm painting using real paints, canvas, etc. (not computer art).

Trompe l'oeil means trick the eye. You know, those paintings on sidewalks that look so three dimensional that you avoid stepping on them or on sides of buildings and you turn to go into a door that isn't there, it's just painted so realistically it looks like a door. The illusions are created mainly by two things, shadow and perspective. I'm taking the course (1) to get myself into my art room more, and (2) to learn more about using light and shadow to create effects.
