Assignment 1:

Put labels in frames and create go-to-frame actions for 3 buttons.

Assignment transition:

To lead in to Assignment 2, I decided to do a movie with the above technique (buttons for clicking from frame to frame) and add another scene, so that with the buttons we can jump from scene to scene as well as frame to frame in either scene. Plus, to add to the difficulty, we're adding animations with stop actions. Whew!

Assignment 2:

This was the real assignment 2, which I didn't really do above (got the appropriate wrist-slapping from teacher :). The movie is meant to scroll through, jumping back and forth between scenes (as above) only this time it's doing it all by itself. (No stop actions and buttons to get it going again.)
